AWAKENED VOICES™ LEADERSHIP & FACILITATION TRAINING 7 Days In-Person Training

AIMS: 

This is an initiatory process into embodiment of leadership, presence and voice. This is a also deep dive Facilitation training for VoiceWork professionals and leaders looking to hold voice circles, voice liberation sessions or incorporate VoiceWork into existing frameworks. AVA's framework is meant to reignite love of music, develop authentic & full expression & help develop a wholeness of the human being and spirit through the lens of the Voice, Sound, Music & Embodiment. This involves deep self-development work both on an internal, skills-based & transpersonal level. This is also suitable for individuals exploring a deeper personal  relationship with transformational VoiceWork. 

STRUCTURE: 

Pre training you will be receiving 2 hours of self-practice videos to prepare for the training. In general, mornings are dedicated to interactive immersions to develop musicality, self-leadership & familiarity with exercises & formats that we use at AVA. Afternoons are dedicated to interactive masterclasses & facilitation labs. This structure may change as the days progress. We will have 3 Online Calls Post Training monthly for check-ins, refinements and Q&A.

Founder, Lead Facilitator & Vocal Coach

Hailing from the island shores of sunny Singapore, Yin Ling has broken through a thick serving of Asian conditioning to pursue a life led on her own terms and a life entwined with music & spirit. Known for her haunting, ethereal vocals, she has been activating voices and sharing vocal teachings for the past 10 years. With a passion for singing instilled in her as a child from 2 karaoke-loving parents, Yin Ling has a degree in Theatre and a background in musical theatre and jazz singing.

Her rude spiritual awakening at age 20 led her on a journey of embodied de-conditioning, a foray into the healing and shamanic arts and a deep dive into the realm of sound healing. With a deep mission of facilitation and service, Yin Ling thrives in teaching fellow seekers to access greater human freedom through mindfulness and self-expression. Voice and music has now become her main vehicle for this impulse. Her facilitation was called by a student as 'warm honey'.

Lead Vocal Coach

GHIJA is a classically trained vocal coach certified at the Conservatory of Vicenza in Italy. A stunning performer and singer, her recent performance in Paris has gone viral with over 1M views on this reel. A ultimate vocal nerd, GHIJA is a dedicated and masterful coach, never rigid and always adapting to create better results for students. 

Ghija has been studying and performing many genres through the years, from the jazz standard, opera to the rock hits, with experience in directing choirs and more. Being very versatile in her singing style, she always tries to give her students all the necessary notions to choose the artist they want to become and to express themselves in the best way, Through posture, breathing, muscular control, rhythm, resonance, harmonies, and other important steps, she will guide you through your own musical vocal journey with great energy and passion.

Currently Ghija is the lead singer with Paris-founded Bali-based cabaret entertainment troupe La Joia.

JOEL BEAUCHAMP

Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer & Music Coach

Joel is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer and music nerd with over 30 years of musical experience in genres ranging from folk, metal, Indian classical, ambient and electronic. Picking up the piano at 5, drum kit at 9 and guitar at 11, Joel draws from the folk influences of his family and played in the Toronto metal/experimental/post-rock scene for 2 decades. Yoga, meditation & spirituality feature strongly in his ethos and helped in overcoming severe mental health struggles in his youth. 

Music is not genre defined to Joel - he believes strongly that creation, artistry, transmutation and joy is at the heart of every style of musical expression no matter what it's outward-facing symbols may be. As a teacher Joel is consistently emphasising the oft-forgotten essence of music, creativity, music-making and it's simple embodied principles. Joel is currently part of the Hanuman Project as Bansuri-player/percussionist and producer amongst other musical projects. 

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)


This training is mostly catered for leaders and facilitators who already want to add Voice Activation into their work - we expect most participants to at least have a basic handle on pitch and rhythm. However, this is an open-level training and if the curriculum calls to you, all are welcome. We do a lot of voice and musical development through this training as well, and each facilitator will find exercises and approaches that they like to implement. Students who want to take this course for purely personal development are also welcome. 

We enjoy small to mid-sized groups and a high teacher to student ratio for the best immersive learning experience. We expect around 6-12 participants. 

YES. All the better, as you will be able to handle the exercises with more ease and bring your musical experience into the teaching methods we will impart you.
